The Abuakwa Maakro Assemblyman has handed over a promised portable water project to the market women in the Abuakwa Maakro in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality.
The portable water project was promised in late 2019 before the election of the assembly members. Hon. Agyenim Boateng commissioned and handed over the completed potable water to Abuakwa Maakro in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality.
The project was completed at a record time of less than one year after the Assemblyman assumed office in 2020. This, to the market women, was a feat they never envisioned to have come their way in such a short period. The potable water is to provide the market women with clean drinking water and for their daily activities while also helping to facilitate regular hand washing during the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak.
The project which was part of his campaign promised during the Assembly members elections race, and it meant to reduce acute water shortage in his beneficiary areas.
In an interview with ATWIMA WATCH, kinetic Honorable member noted that it has been his priority long before he joined the Assemblyman elections, he added that he will ensure the provision of potable drinking water for jolt areas.
He was accompanied by the unit Committee chairman and some other dignitaries of the Abuakwa Maakro constituency.
The Market women commended Hon. Agyenim Boateng for fulfilling a promise made to them within a short time.
