Chelsea are set to secure the services of Kai Havertz from Bundesliga side Bayern 04 Leverkusen. The midfield maestro has been on the radar of the blues for some times now and with Chelsea qualifying for champions league football the possibility of him signing increased by a long stretch.
According to talkSPORT the two clubs have held talks for many weeks now and an agreement has finally been reached by both clubs with Chealsea set to pay £72m up front, with add-ons to take the total fee a little above the £90m mark.
The 21-year old is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Blues having already agreed personal terms with West Londoners. The initial 72m will be paid with the add-ons of £9m each given by them qualifying for the Champions League and winning titles including Epl, The FA Cup and the Champions League.
Havertz, who has bagged 46 goals in 150 games for Leverkusen has been likened to Zinedine Zidane due to his fluidity and intellect on the pitch and also compared with his Michael Ballack who also played for Chelsea.
