The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has organized the party members of the NDC for a retreat in the Ashanti region. On Wednesday, July 14th, Hon Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor met with the Ashanti regional Organiser of the party and his team from all the 47 constituencies in the Ashanti region for the special retreat at the Kumasi Central Mosque.
The retreat is aimed at reviewing the contributing factor for their loss in the December 2020 polls and how to overcome such challenges in the near future as the 2024 polls draw nearer each day.
Hon Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor believed that the thorough review will point out mistakes that were made during the 2020 polls which led to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) sweeping away victory from them. He pointed out that if all those mistakes were to be avoided in the next poll that’s in 2024, victory shall once again be bestowed on the NDC party.
The Deputy General Secretary of the NDC urged all the NDC party faithful to work hard in every sphere they find themselves in order to secure victory for the party. A win in every small area put together would be a great achievement for the party as a whole
The regional post-election retreat started from the Brong and Ahafo regions earlier this year and is expected to cover all the sixteen regions in Ghana. The details of the timeline for which the entire sixteen regions will be covered were not given. However, from the look of things, it wouldn’t take too long for that to happen.
The Regional Post Election Retreats, started this month and is expected to cover all the Sixteen regions in Ghana in the shortest possible time. Taken into consideration how the NDC lost power again in 2020, the party is geared up and poised to secure victory soon in the soon-to-come December 2024 elections.
Dr. Otokunor also took the opportunity to interact with the party faithfuls to discussed many important matters of the party and of national interest while reassuring the party’s victory in 2024.
