Nduom School of Business and Technology celebrates the graduation of its inaugural class, fulfilling a promise made by Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, the founder and Chairman of the Governing board. Each of the eight pioneering students was bestowed with a $1,000 cash award during the ceremony held at the Ayensudo campus over the weekend.
This milestone event marked the commencement of NSBT’s journey, with 25 students graduating and 90 new students joining the institution. Among the graduates were eight females and 17 males, with distinctions ranging from first-class honors to third-class honors.
Dr. Nduom initially intended to provide seed money for student businesses, but plans were hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, he honored his commitment by awarding each graduate with $1,000, urging them to invest wisely for their future.
In his address, Dr. Nduom emphasized the importance of prudent financial management and urged graduates to explore entrepreneurial endeavors. He reassured them of the institute’s support in securing employment opportunities and emphasized the value of the education provided at NSBT.
Furthermore, NSBT’s Rector, Rev. Prof. Daniel Adjepong Nyarko, highlighted the institution’s efforts in forging international partnerships and enhancing English language proficiency for Ivorian students.
Emmanuel Newman, representing the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, encouraged graduates to apply their skills towards addressing societal challenges and securing meaningful employment. He also noted NSBT’s trajectory towards becoming a chartered university, citing its comprehensive facilities and resources.
