Your visit today is historic. It is a demonstration of leadership that listens and leadership that members. The novelty of you personally touching base with all 276 constituencies across the country to thank the people for their support has raised the bar to another level in Ghanaian politics.
This is what it means to reset the relationship between a political party and the people it serves. Mr. Chairman, your party’s return to government has indeed set Ghana on a path of resetting the country. Under your leadership and that of H. E. President John Dramani Mahama, Ghana has become a construction site. Roads are being opened, projects are restarting, and hope is being restored in our communities.
Tandawura Alhaji Mohammed Amin who spoke on behalf of the Chief said, Here in Wasipe and particularly in the North Gonja district, they are seeing and feeling this reset first hand. Their district has become a construction site of progress. Their bridge, which connects their people and open up trade and mobility. They are brand new collage of education which will train the teachers of tomorrow and keep our youth engaged and employed.
The 24 hour economy market a bold policy that is already creating space for our traders and farmers to expand their work beyond daylight hours. They are hospital theatre which is improving access to critical surgical care for our people. And above all. For the first time in our history, they now have a medical doctor posted to serve the people of Wasipe. This alone is a game changer for healthcare delivery in our district.
Like Oliver twist we will like to remind you that North Gonja district remains the only district without a single kilometer of surfaced road. Kindly work on this request for us. These are not small achievements. They are the direct result of a government that is committed to spreading development to every corner of this country, and a party that keeps its promise to the grassroots.
The Wasipe Traditional Council assures you and the government that we will continue to stand with you. We will support, cooperate, and mobilize our people to ensure the successful implementation of all government programs in our area. Peace, unity and development remain our priority.
And we know that the NDC shares that vision. Mr. Chairman as you continue your tour across the country, know that Wasipe is solidly behind the NDC. We appreciate you, we appreciate the government and we will continue to pray for wisdom and strength for your leadership.
Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia also added his voice that NDC government led by President John Dramani Mahama and his ministers are doing everything possible to solve their campaign promises so they should continue supporting the NDC government to move Ghana forward.
He therefore urged the NDC members to remain calm and give their support to the government they are time will come.
Hon. Abdulai Nashiru DCE for Gonja North Constituency also highlighted the number of projects he has done for past one year and office.
