Renowned Ghanaian journalist Kwasi Pratt Jnr has sharply criticized President John Dramani Mahama’s appointees, accusing them of showing little interest in the President’s economic reset and restructuring efforts.
Speaking on a television program, Pratt claimed that many of these officials are primarily focused on positioning themselves to replace President Mahama rather than supporting his vision for the country.
He expressed deep disappointment over what he described as betrayal by some ministers and CEOs. “I feel very sad for President John Dramani Mahama,” Pratt said, describing the level of disloyalty as monumental.
According to the veteran journalist, the President appears powerless in the situation, “sitting there being held hostage” and unable to take firm action or “crack the whip.”
Pratt added that it is unbelievable how these appointees are undermining the President, disregarding and trivializing all his public declarations and policy pronouncements.
